We recently traded one of our Black Angus for a TX Longhorn steer which produced more than 400 lbs of meat when processed! Here are some pictures of the meat in the bins we picked it up in. We failed to bring enough bins–not realizing how many would be needed for that amount of beef–so we had to put a number of packages of ground beef in the cab of the truck. We can’t possibly eat all that meat (especially since we only eat beef once a week), so we sold enough to make up for the processing fee. We are all set until next Fall when hopefully one of the Angus will be fat and ready!
